Privacy
Updated October 5, 2026.
This is how Helmswick Systems Inc., which runs CushionRank, handles personal information about the people who visit cushionrank.com and buy its reports. Our privacy officer is responsible for it: write to support@cushionrank.com, or to Helmswick Systems Inc., 1025 King Street East, Unit 107-2519, Cambridge, Ontario N3H 3P5, Canada.
When you visit
Cloudflare, which hosts the site, sees your IP address, as any web host does. We run Umami, analytics software, to see how the site is used. It records the pages you view, the site that sent you and any campaign tag on your link, your browser, device, language and approximate location, and actions such as opening the sample or starting a checkout. It sets no cookies and stores no IP address, name or email address.
Your browser keeps its own note of the first page you landed on, the site that sent you and any campaign tag, so we can tell which pages and searches bring buyers. The note reaches us only if you start a checkout.
When you buy a report
Stripe takes the payment and we never see your card number. Stripe gives us your name, email address, billing country and postal code, and whether you paid. It also uses what you give it to check for fraud, under its own privacy policy.
We keep those details with the order, along with the firm, the date, the price, the note your browser kept, any answer you give on your order page, and a record of each time your report's link is opened and the browser that opened it. We use the order to deliver the report, to handle refunds, corrections and tax, and to answer a payment dispute. The record of opens shows delivery if a payment is disputed, and tells us if a link has been posted publicly. Postmark sends the delivery and correction emails and keeps a copy of each.
There are no accounts or passwords. The link in your delivery email opens your order page, which shows the email address the report was sent to, and your report. Anyone who has the link can see both, so keep it as you would the report. If you think it has leaked, email us and we'll send you a new link and switch the old one off.
If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can answer you and handle a refund, a correction or a dispute.
Who handles it for us
Cloudflare (hosting, database and file storage), Stripe (payments), Postmark (email), Google (our support mailbox, and the server Umami runs on), Neon (Umami's database), Slack (our alerts about orders) and Anthropic (the AI assistant we use to run the business, which can read support email and order records). All of them store or process it in the United States, where US courts and authorities can require access to it.
We show no ads on this site, run no ad network's code on it and set no tracking cookies. We don't sell or rent personal information. We do buy Google search ads; if you arrive by clicking one, Google knows you clicked it.
We email you about your order and any correction to it. Any email from us about something else, such as a newer filing from the firm you bought, carries a way to unsubscribe.
How long we keep it, and your rights
We keep order records, the emails about them and our backups of them for six years after the end of the tax year they belong to, as Canadian tax law requires, then delete them. We delete other personal information on request, unless we need it for a refund, a payment dispute or a legal claim. Umami's records aren't linked to your name or email address, so we can't find yours to delete.
You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, at support@cushionrank.com. We answer within 30 days. We handle personal information under Canada's federal privacy law, PIPEDA. If our answer doesn't satisfy you, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
